Day at school
Every day is different. But it is always varied, filled with activities, individual and collective work, play and time for rest and regeneration, exploration. Every day we fulfil the vision of the laboratory school.
What's it like here?
The school opens at 8.00 and we have a morning playgroup for all the little ones until 8.25. The lessons start with a class assembly where we plan a day, evaluate, share experiences, wishes, compliments and/or complaints with the children. We work in ninety-minute sessions, which is longer than traditional lessons so that the children have the opportunity to combine different activities, experience the learning stuff and get space for discussion. The lessons end according to each class schedule. The younger children have the opportunity to attend the afternoon club.

Do you prefer meat or vegetarian food?
Lunch is provided by Ekolandia comp. The children choose from three meals through an online reservation system. The offer always includes a soup and a choice of one vegetarian dish.
Afternoon club or interest groups
The afternoon club is full of interesting activities that conceptually complement the lessons. We engage in creative and physical activities, do art, sport, play games or just relax. Four days a week we also offer a variety of interest activities for the children.

Parents' Café
We meet with the parents at the so-called Parents' Café. We meet together, share information between the school and parents, deal with individual issues and discuss various topics. Last but not least, we also get to know each other better through joint meetings. Parents can find more information on the agenda of each café and the venue in the Edookit.

Outdoor week (grades 1-5)
The outdoor school always involves the entire first grade and usually takes place in the spring before the end of the school year. The children have a rich program focusing on sports, ecology, science, and other topics related to the location of the outdoor school. It also includes a swimming course for grades three through five.
In the 2026/2027 school year, the outdoor school will be held from May 24 to 28, 2027.
Science weeks (grade 6-9)
Older students (grades 6-9) have research expeditions (science weeks) instead of the outdoor week. They work on their projects - researching, collecting data, studying, writing. These activities take place outside the school - in nature or in the city, depending on the topics the students choose to explore.
In the school year 2026-2027, the first science week will be held from December 14-18, 2026 (at various locations in Prague), and the second science week will be from May 24-28, 2027 (a full week outside Prague).
Stay in mountains
Spring course takes place every winter/spring and involves the whole school. We go to different places in the Czech mountains, but the goal is the same - to enjoy winter, winter nature, and winter sports.
